Students who sat for this year's Kenya Certificate for Primary Education ( KCPE) examinations were on Monday ambushed with results by the Education Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina Mohammed.
The Ministry of Education together with the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) released the results only a few weeks after the candidates sat for the exams and the release came too early as compared to the previous years.
However, this did not prevent the kids from performing well as the two top students nationally scored 453 marks.
The two students were Rawlings Odhiambo from Kakamega Hill school and Olive Mwea from Riara School, Nairobi.
In Rift Valley region, David Kiromwok School in Bomet County emerged the new giant in the region after posting a mean of 406 marks, meaning that a better percentage of the candidates scored 400 marks and above.
