Last year on 9th March at Harambee House in Nairobi County the two leaders unexpectedly came together in a period when the nation was split following the hotly contested 2017 elections in order to bring calmness.

According to Festus Makeba, the handshake atmosphere has enabled businesses to boom.

“Investors can now confidently invest in various sectors of the economy, thus improving our economy,” stated Makeba.

Charles Mokaya, a mechanic believes that the handshake was a plot to block Ruto’s 2022 bid.

“DP Ruto has been the biggest loser in this handshake,” claimed Mokaya.

Jane Ombasa supports the handshake because she feels that corruption has been dealt with since corrupt ministers and County bosses have been exposed.
