Trump is expected to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta on August 27th at the White House in the US for bilateral talks.

Both the US and the Kenyan governments have confirmed the meeting which the US says will be used to bolster the relationship between the countries.

However, Khalwale has a message that he wants Uhuru to deliver to his US counterpart.

"Uhuru Kenyatta, when you meet the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, do greet him. Tell him that we remember the Nairobi 1998 terror attack and the devastation of our tourism due Al Shabaab. Ask him to help remove trade barriers and thank him for the seriousness he has given to global security," the outspoken former Ikolomani MP said in a tweet on Monday.

Uhuru is expected to fly out of the country on August 26th and his meeting with Trump will take place the following day on August 27th.

It will come on the peak of efforts by Uhuru to reclaim Kenya's lost glory at the international platform as he prepares to leave State House when his final term comes to an end in 2022.

Former US President Barack Obama was in Kenya on July 15th.
