Narok County Governor Samuel Ole Tunai is among vocal politicians from the 'Maa' politicians in the country.

Ole Tunai is serving his second and final term in office.As Tunai serves his final term, the Jubilee governor has not hinted on his next political destination.

The Narok county boss has also not hinted on who he would prefer as his 2022 successor.

With the 2022 succession politics taking shape, Ole Tunai’s name is likely to feature especially on the presidential election owing to his political experience in the 'Maa' politics.

The Narok governor  has not declared his stand on who he could support for presidency in 2022 election but chances are high that he could back Deputy President William Ruto’s ambition owing to the political wave in the region.

Should  Ole Tunai opt to support DP Ruto, the Narok governor will be critical in ensuring the DP garners the Maasai votes in 2022.

 In the past general elections, the Maasai community has been seen to be friendly to the opposition and it will be interesting to watch on the direction the community takes in 2022 with he influence of Ole Tunai and other top a politicians.

Governor Tuna’s name is also likely to feature in the battle on who should be the next Maasai political kingpin. Senator Ledama Ole Kina and Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi are also said to be battling for the kingpin title.

Ole Tunai can also opt to retire from active politics after his 10 year service to Narok residents but this is unlikely to happen.

It is a matter of time before we know the political direction governor Tunai will be taking after his term ends in 2022.
