Police in Kangundo sub-county have launched a manhunt for a 25-year-old man who allegedly set ablaze his lover's house on Sunday.
Confirming the incident, Kangundo police boss Benjamin Ongombe said the man committed the offense after he argued with the middle-aged woman on the fateful day.
It is said the bodaboda operator used petrol to raize down the house.
Ong'ombe said the threw fire into the house through a window.
The neighbors said they discovered the house was on fire at around 2 am in the morning.
"The window was not closed. So, the suspect accessed the house and threw fire through the window. Neighbors woke up to the shocking incident at around 2 am," Ong'ombe added.
He said the man is at large while his 'lover' is nowhere to be seen.
"We have unsuccessfully tried to reach her in a bid to notify her of the incident," he said.
Ong'ombe warned residents against resolving to take the law into their own hands when things get out of hand.
"Residents should learn to solve their issues amicably without taking the law into their own hands," Ong'ombe said.
