The results which has taken two months of waiting were received by the two girls, their third "sister" Melvis Imbaya and their mothers at Lancet Kenya offices in Upper Hill 5th Ngong Avenue, Nairobi.

"Sharon and Melon are IDENTICAL TWINS. DNA results have confirmed. Lancet Kenya conducted the DNA tests and analysis. @citizentvkenya," Citizen TV journalist Francis Gachuri broke the news.

The two families’ spokespersons came out after the results accusing Kakamega County Referral Hospital for mixing the girls at birth.

Noting that the girl's families didn't suspect any of their mothers for switching their daughter, the spokesperson said they will sue the hospital for their negligance which caused all this drama.

The case which was taken up by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations poked holes into Kakamega County Referral Hospital, who have since remained silent after the results came out.

Unlike other days where the girls used to appear in public dressed in same attire, today, both the three girls dressed differently.

Recently, the girls came out stating that nothing will interefer with the peace they have had as families. They noted that whatever way the results will come, they will still remain sisters and best friends.
