Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi on Monday, arrived in Mombasa on a meet the people tour.
Accompanied by former Lamu County Governor Issa Timamy, and other ANC officials, Mudavadi briefly stopped MacMackinnon Market where he engaged and socialised with residents.
He asked those panicking in the war against corruption to explain why they are getting jittery unless they are guilty.
Citing recently mentioned dam project scandals, Mudavadi urged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to be very thorough and detailed in investigating those implicated in the scandals.
While calling for the immediate resignation of the concerned State Officials including the Cabinet Secretaries for Treasury and Water and the officers associated with the matter including the CEO of Kerio Valley Development Authority, Mudavadi said if they don't resign, President Uhuru Kenyatta should sack them.
"They will do everything to frustrate the investigation. The President must, for his part, demonstrate that he is not just engaging the country in rhetoric and theatrics in the face of a national catastrophe. He must sack them at once," he said.
The National Super Alliance (Nasa) further condemned an emerging land grabbing cases in Lamu County.
