Mr Reuben Kibegwa alias Mageuzi, in a series of text messages to the writer on Friday, said he fears about his life following his spirited fight against Governor John Nyagarama's administration.

According to him, he has been receiving strange calls since Wednesday when the Senate read his petition which will be discussed in days to come.

"I am living in fears. I don't know what tomorrow would be. I have been receiving strange calls since Wednesday and I think all is not good," he said.

The renowned activist added: "I am not giving up, I will not surrender. I tried my best to solve these issues at the county level but they refused to listen."

Senate tabled the petition in which among others, Kibegwa has challenged recruitment of the county government officials, procurement and grand corruption.

Early this week, Senator Okong'o Mogeni vowed to have Governor John Nyagarama in the Senate to explain various irregularities that have been reported in the county.

Until now, Governor John Nyagarama has not weighed into the latest challenges. At Bomwagamo on Saturday, he steered off the politics, only insisting that he's keen to leave a good legacy.
