“Some leaders are making efforts going out of the way to get chances that will favor them at expense of electorates, those leaders thinking that Kenyans are stupid, should know that an MCA is not a thief but a leader elected by Kenyans,” held DP Ruto.

He reiterated that changes should be base on efficient reallocation of resources for effective devolution.

Speaking in Sirisia, Dp Ruto signaled that he is against the referendum occasioned by the much hyped handshake truce.

Eldoret politician and political analyst Daniel Serem said that the Dp is on crossroads either to absolutely endorse the referendum or oppose basing substantive grounds that will resonate with the electorates.

“The DP has not yet made the ultimate decision on the referendum, the questions are not clear as to why the referendum is a necessary factor to alleviate burdened Kenyans. What he is doing is just poking on the loopholes that seem to alter devolution ,” stated Serem.

He indicated that those spearheading for referendum have hard time of convincing electorates to merge counties, sub counties and scrapping out county assemblies in Kenya.
