Jennings Orlando, the Recce officer, arrested in connection with Monica Kimani’s brutal murder has said he was with Jowie on the night the deceased is suspected to have been killed.
Jowie alias Joseph Irungu is a key suspect in the murder.
Orlando said Jowie called him for a drink in one of the posh joints in Kilimani.
They met at 6 pm where they sampled shots of their popular drinks in the company of two other women.
The two women have also been questioned.
At 8 pm, they left the bar with Jowie in Maribe’s car.
Jowie reportedly dropped him at another bar at 8 pm and told him to wait for him there as he was rushing to see a friend at her house who had just returned from South Sudan.
He waited for him up to 11 pm.
The Recce officer said Jowie did not tell him anything and was shocked to learn that he was arrested in connection with the murder.
Meanwhile, Jowie and journalist Jacque Maribe are still cooling heels at the Industrial Area prison and Lang’ata Women’s prison.
They will appear before Justice James Wakiaga on Wednesday, October 24 for a bail hearing.
Jowie’s family in Nakuru said they are still shocked by the turn of events of their lovely son that was raised as a church boy.
