A NASA affiliated MP has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to seal all corruption loopholes in government.

Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka said corruption is the reason the Jubilee government is imposing huge taxes on poor Kenyans. 

"I am not happy with the move by the Jubilee government to impose huge taxes on Kenyans instead of sealing corruption loopholes.

"It is high time President Kenyatta should consider sealing all channels used by state officers to embezzle public funds," he said at Nyatieko area in his constituency on Wednesday.

The vocal MP said the government should lower the living standards of the people by dropping the taxes. 

"What Mr. Kenyatta is doing is the opposite he promised during the last year's polls. Living standards should be lowered down by making prices of commodities affordable," he noted. 

He condemned National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi for presiding over chaotic assembly during passing of Finance Bill.

According to Mr. Onyonka, Muturi must be impeached failure to which the legislatures will not fulfill the campaign promises to the electorates.
