After being humbled for the second time during the 2017 general election, former high-flying Garsen MP Danson Mungatana has re-emerged amid claims that he was coned millions of shillings in dubious deals.

While dismissing claims in sections of the media that he was coned by billions by a witch doctor who wanted to make him an overnight billionaire, the former lawmaker said that he fell prey to a deal by foreigners in cohort with local politicians who were trading in controversial oil deals.

"We received profit in the first and second rounds, but the third time the proprietors of the scheme disappeared with our money,” Mungatana said as quoted by Nation. 

According to Mungatana, he does not want to be an overnight billionaire as claimed the media even as he insisted that he has always known the value of handwork.

"“I did not want to be an overnight billionaire as claimed. That is not what my mother taught me. I have been working hard all my life," said the veteran politician. 

He added that several other Kenyans have fallen victims to the deals,bu they have not reported the matter o the police.
