Uhuru was received by Kenya’s ambassador to the US Robinson Njeru Githae. Others who were present included National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale. The president tour in the US is considered of great benefit to this nation.

Kenya’s ambassador, however, said that Uhuru won’t meet citizens of this nation while in US because of his tight schedule.

“The president will only be around for one or maybe one and half days and most of that time will be taken up by his meeting with his counterpart, President Donald Trump at the White House,” Mr Githae said.

Uhuru is expected to discuss an array of issues with President Trump during the tour as the two heads of state strengthen their ties.
