Speaking during a county staff end year party in Eldoret, Mandago said his administration can account for every cent they have received from the national government and local revenue collections.

"We are proud because we have managed to keep our records, we know what we are doing and can account for our actions," said the governor.

"We are one county government that cannot lie to the public neither do we lie to other agencies. When asked questions we answer," he added.

The vocal governor further said that the report by the Auditor General does not give him sleepless nights because he has qualified staff with the ability to respond to each of the queries raised.

Mandago also revealed that his government will be receiving extra cash for prudent use of public funds.

Among questions raised on Mandago's administration spending by the Auditor General include Sh7 million used for the construction of four toilets, Sh32 million for construction of two bridges and Sh5 million that we're used on domestics travel.
