Speaking at Kimalel on Sunday, Bitok who has declared his interest to succeed Governor Jackson Mandago come 2022 said this will ensure Deputy President William Ruto gets 100 per cent votes from Rift Valley.

"It is sad that other parts of the county are standing with William Ruto to become the next president 2022 while at his home tuff in Rift Valley politicians are divided where others are for while others against him. How do you expect other people to support him if his own people are divided," said Bitok.

He said such divisions being witnessed might deny the Deputy President the presidency.

"I call upon the Kapseret legislator to bring all the leaders from the region together and call Bishop to pray for them so that this nonsense of division be a thing of the past. We are tired of some leaders openly attacking the deputy president who is our leader and preferred presidential candidate," added Bitok.

He reiterated that if Sudi does that Ruto will become president come 2022.

Nandi Hills member of parliament Alfred Keter, Cherangany Joshua Kutuny and Moiben MP Silas Tiren have been attacking the deputy president William Ruto especially on farmers issues and are seen as a threat to William Ruto's presidency.

They are seen to have joined  Baringo senator Gideon Moi's camp.

Julius Bitok who is currently Kenya's ambassador to Pakistan has declared interest in the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat.
