Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has rallied behind President Uhuru Kenyatta's intensified war on corruption.
The Head of State on Tuesday said fight on graft will spare no one and even asked those linking him to theft to report him to the investigative agencies.
Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, over the weekend accused Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga of pretending to be 'holy' whereas they are the 'biggest thieves in Kenya'.
However, speaking during the official opening of the 6th Devolution Conference at Kirinyaga University, Uhuru rubbished the claims saying those claiming he is corrupt shouldn't rant at funerals but should instead report him to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
"Recently someone made false pronouncements that I have stolen. If you have evidence against me, walk in to Karura Forest, the offices of those tasked to investigate crime, including corruption, are there. Go there and make an official report on what Uhuru has stolen," he said.
"This war on corruption will not be won at funerals, this war will be won by the use of agencies given the mandate to do the job," the Head of State added.
Reacting to the remarks, Babu said the war against the graft was unstoppable and told off those using funerals to demonise it.
In a tweet on Tuesday, he said the DCI, Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) must be allowed to work without interference.
"Like President Kenyatta has stated, funeral hecklers should let @EACCKenya, @DCI_Kenya & @ODPP_KE do their job. The gangster kind of looting the future of this nation and overburdening next generations with loans that ends up in individuals' pockets and harambees MUST STOP!" the vocal politician posted.
