The duo represented Homa Bay Gotvernor Cyprian Awiti in his Supreme Court appeal against the nullification of his win by the lower appellate courts.

In its ruling, the court through Justice Jackton Ojwang' sided with Awiti's argument after being convinced by the two that the election was done in a free and fair manner.

"The prayer by the petitioner for a new by election is hereby disallowed. The election results will stand as was declared by the IEBC," the court ruled.

The election was petitioned by former Kasipul Kabondo lawmaker and Awiti's main challenger in the race Oyugi Magwanga who gave Awiti a run for his money in the race.

The win comes one year and a few months after the two won another major petition in the same court, this being a presidential petition.

Amollo and Orengo were part of the team that successfully petitioned President Uhuru Kenyatta's August 8 reelection.

The team of over 20 counsels was deployed by  opposition leader Raila Odinga who participatedin the elections but cried foul after controversially losing to Uhuru.

Through the lawyers, he managed to push for a rerun of the poll, but would skip it citing another plan to again rig him out.

Orengo and Amollo double up as the Siaya Senator and Rarieda lawmaker respectively who are very close allies of the ODM Party leader Rails Odinga.
