Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has dismissed his Deputy Amos Nyaribo's claims over the irregular hiring of staff.
The county boss said his deputy is yet to raise a formal complaint over the illegal hiring of staff members.
According to Nyagarama, his deputy could have consulted about the matter before going public.
He further said he was not aware about the irregular hiring in the devolved unit.
This is after Nyaribo said several people have been hired illegally without following the legal procedures.
Most the people hired illegally are enforcement officers and support staff.
Nyagarama's remarks now creates more confusion in the county and will raise even strained relationship between the duo.
Nyagarama and his Deputy re-united few days ago after a strained relationship over the county leadership which lasted for several months.
Eric Onchana the county secretary has since ordered investigations to be done over the matter.
Onchana assured that he will make public the list of all county workers hired legally so that ghost workers who have been siphoning salaries from the county government can be known.
