Have you ever been in this awkward state where you had a fight with someone and then after that, you stopped talking?
In most cases, you are waiting for that person to start the conversation and similarly, the person wants you to start the conversation and then you end up passing over each other. You can avoid this awkward scenario and make it happen by doing the following:
Cutting your pride
Sometimes you feel that if you started talking to a person you had stopped talking to, you will be the weak one. This is a character of an egocentric person.
It does not pay to hold too much pride over others, they might think that you are “weak” but building bridges is not a task for the weak. Restart the conversation and you will be fine.
Greet them
Every conversation begins with greetings. In African societies, greeting your neighbour is an avenue of seeking peace and no person would ignore you if you greeted them.
In fact, our parents while teaching us manners always insisted that we greet people. If you follow this, trust me you will be friends again
Offer help
If the person you had a fight with is in trouble, do not limit your philanthropic heart. If you offer a helping hand, the person will show gratitude and eventually you will start talking again.
If you are lucky to be driving and the other person does not have a car, why don’t you offer a ride when you meet? This will be a great way to start over.
