National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi has lashed at DP William Ruto following his remarks about 2008 MOU with Raila Odinga.
Over the weekend, a charged Ruto challenged Raila to back him in 2022, arguing that he had taken his 'Prime Minister' position.
But Mbadi, who doubles at ODM chairman, dismissed Ruto's assertion adding that such an arrangement never existed.
"We never had such an arrangement as he suggests. We went to polls just to win presidency.
"However, when we entered into grand coalition, Ruto only objected to the idea of giving Musalia Mudavadi DPM post. He fully backed Raila to be PM," said Mbadi.
So controversial have been Ruto's remarks that Mudavadi also bashed him during the Kakamega event.
The ANC leader revisited 2012 promise by Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta that they were to back him, adding that he owes Ruto nothing.
"If there is someone you owe is me. You'd lied in my own house that you will back me," he said.
The DP has taken war into Raila's doorstep, portraying the ODM leader as a deceitful politician.
