An elected Member of Parliament from Gusii region has denied claims that he was part of those pushing for a salary hike and huge allowances.
Bonchari MP John Oyioka argued that opponents must stop dragging his name into impunity related matters.
"I will never be part of those pushing for salary hike because I am satisfied with my current salary. Information doing rounds that I was supporting the Parliamentary Service Bill 2018 is false," he noted.
The lawmaker assured that he is focused to deliver his campaign promises.
He called on constituents to ignore lazy and desperate opponents tarnishing his name.
"I am working around the clock to ensure stalled projects such as Suneka Airstrip are done and become operational before 2022. I want to break a record which the previous MPs have never broken since the constituency was established," said Oyioka.
The legislator urged his opponents to stop moving around the constituency spreading propaganda about his leadership.
"No region will be discriminated during my tenure. My political rivals must stop telling lies to the public claiming I am sidelining regions," he added.
