Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe has resigned from his position in the ruling party.
Addressingthe media in Nairobi on Sunday, Murathenoted that his position in the party is 'no longer tenable'.

His resignation elicited mixed reactions from various leaders.
Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen in a tweet congratulated the Jubilee Party leadership for "restoring order in the party".
"Congratulations to Jubilee Party Leader HE Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy Party Leader Dr.William Ruto for restoring order into the party. Tuko Pamoja," he tweeted.
Murathe caused a storm in the country when he first announced that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto do not have an agreement over 2022.
Murathe said if the two agreed on anything come 2022,‘then hiyo ni yao’.
On Saturday, he also vowed to block Ruto’s 2022 bid at the Supreme Court.
