Nakuru County Kalenjin professionals have hit out at Narok Senator Ledama ole Kina over remarks he made on September 25, 2018.
The remarks, they said, have the potential to cause animosity between the Maasai and Kipsigis communities in the area.
Addressing media in Nakuru on Thursday led by Peter Koech, the professionals have called on the government to act on the senator.
“We have heard that our leaders were arrested in Njoro for inciting but we have not seen evidence of such yet we have a clip where a leader in Narok has called mothers all sorts of names yet he is still walking free. We call on the government and interior CS to act,” said Koech.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Saida Chesang who said the government should ensure such leaders are arrested.
“It is so shameful for a leader to call women in Narok all sorts of names. We demand action,” said Saida.
