Migori Governor Okoth Obado will Today September 24, be arraigned before a Nairobi court over murder of Sharon Otieno.
The county boss has been behind bars since Friday when he was arrested.
He was locked up in Gigiri police station where we have since learned that life is not that hard for him as he is being treated with some glove hands.
Unlike other prisoners who are locked in populated cells, he was locked up in his own cell where he was given a blanket and a mattress.
He also enjoys some freedom like sunbathing.
Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has said Obado will be charged with aiding, abetting and financing the murder of his 26-year-old pregnant lover after in efforts to protect his reputation.
A battery of high profile lawyers, led by Cliff Ombeta, is expected to represent the governor at the court.
According to a source, lawyers have been told to ensure the suspect is at least released today through a bond.
A source privy to the details said already the governor’s family visited him on Sunday where the same was discussed.
They also took a suit which Obado will wear to court.
