President Uhuru Kenyatta amazed many in Murang'a last week on Saturday with his unique gift to the county's Senator Irungu Kangata during his wedding ceremony.
Senator Kanagata tied the knot with his long-time wife Mary Wambui.
The colourful wedding was also attended with nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura and his wife Mukami as the best couple.
The yellow themed wedding was a blessing not only to Senator Irungu Kang'ata and his wife but also to the people of Murang’a.
President Uhuru gifted both the newlywed couple and also residents.
“It is rare that he attend weddings, so I don’t take that for granted. I was also happy for Murang’a people because they also got some benefits from my wedding. As a gift for my wedding, the President gave goodies worth Sh5 million to the people of Gathinja Day School, a bus to the neighbouring Mukang’u Day School and promised to tarmac a road for them as well,” said SenatorKang'ata.
Uhuru also took time to congratulate the newlywed couple through his twitter account.
