In a tweet on Thursday evening, the flamboyant city lawyer noted that Sonko went against all odds to retain him after giving him work involving State House despite the fact that he is a Jubilee supporter.

"In 2017, I publicly proclaimed I was going to vote for Baba. Same year, H.E Mike Sonko gave me Legal Work that involved State House. Some political brokers confronted Sonko why he retained me," he said.

He revealed that Sonko is among the few Kenyans who see life beyond tribes, politics and religions.

"He told them Professional Competency & Political Beliefs are mutually exclusive. It’s only in America where such level of thinking is present. In Kenya, even those with PhD see life thro’ Tribe, Politics, Religion et al. Sonko may not be an intellectual sophisticate but he is ahead of our time. Few people compare to him," he added.

Kipkorir's praise on Sonko comes amid a storm in Sonko's style of leadership after his public spat with Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris.
