Machakos County Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has revealed why President Uhuru Kenyatta is ‘missing” weeks after he jetted back from China.
According to governor Mutua, President Kenyatta is busy working and his silence should not worry Kenyans.
The Machakos Governor argues that it is not a must for the president to be seen everywhere for Kenyans to know that he is in the country.
“Lately, I have heard people asking why President Uhuru Kenyatta is not seen in the public since he came back from China. Uhuru is not quite, but busy at work,” he tweeted on Sunday.
In his tweet, the Machakos county boss added, “ The work of a leader is not to just go everywhere, finding every excuse to campaign and politicize.”
Governor Mutua stated that a president is a manager and needs time to hold office meetings, get briefs and manage the economy.
“Uhuru Kenyatta is busy working because he has to double work. Some of those who should be assisting him are busy playing politics, whereas our youth are struggling at home,” the Maendeleo Chap Chap governor added.
President Kenyatta has remained silent since he jetted from China with questions being raised by Kenyans on social media about his whereabouts.
