Speaking during an interview with KTN News, the Prof noted that he had other ambitions other than becoming the Head of State.

"No! My biological clock is ticking. I must go back to the university. I do not want to be in politics forever," he said when questioned about his political future.

Prof Nyong'o made it clear that he will not be seeking any other electoral position after completing his two terms in office.

"The last thing I'm doing is being Governor of Kisumu for two terms, that's it. I do not envisage either being Speaker of Asembly or MCA," he said.

Elsewhere, Kisumu Senator Fred Outa on Friday announced that there is no bad blood between him and Governor Nyong'o.

Speaking in Nyando, Outa noted that he is ready to work with the Governor to ensure that service is delivered to Kisumu people.

"This is the time for development. My work is to bring money and the work of the governor and his deputy is to implement the things we promised our people. That is what we want to see in the next three years.

"The people of Kisumu want development. This is why we should give Nyong’o time to work. I will ensure all the money I bring is used,” he said as quoted by Standard.
