Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said President Uhuru Kenyatta is among the unifying factors in the 2022 General Elections.
Speaking during an exclusive interview at Citizen TV on Tuesday, Kalonzo said the Head of State will determine Kenya's leadership upon completion of his second and final term in office as stipulated in the Constitution.
He recommended Uhuru's appointment as a Prime Minister once his term ends for the sake of peace and stability of this country.
The Ukambani political kingpin stated that there is no way Uhuru can be written off in the country's leadership after 2022.
"Uhuru is the best President, I admire what he is doing. He must be supported. If he leads his Jubilee troops to the 2022 contest and his party clinches the majority of seats, then whoever wins as the President must appoint him as a Prime Minister," Kalonzo said.
Kalonzo said he admires the President's achievements since he entered the political arena.
The former Vice President stated that he believes in Uhuru's leadership.
He said he is ready to step down for Uhuru to take the Prime Minister's post.
Kalonzo has continued receiving criticism for rooting for Uhuru to remain in government.
Leaders from both Jubilee and opposition have been launching endless attacks against the Kamba political kingpin.
Kalonzo has, however, maintained that he is the right man to succeed Uhuru when he leaves office.
He is banking on the support of Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga to rise to power.
