Nyoro wants Waititu to stop beating around the bush, and tell Kiambu people and Kenyans where he spent the billions in question.

Speaking to journalists at Boulevard hotel in Nairobi on Saturday, Nyoro distanced himself from the questionable budget, saying that he knows nothing about it.

The deputy governor stated that Waititu and the county's finance minister are better placed to explain where, and how they spent the questionable expenditure.

Nyoro warned that Kiambu risks losing Sh10 billion from the Central Bank if Waititu fails to account for the funds.

"Waititu's claim that he is not aware of how the allocations found their way into the documents are untrue because he ought to have gone through the documents before signing them," Nyoro said as quoted by  Standard.

He added that Waititu must answer to the audit questions without applying diversionary tactics.

Nyoro claimed that expenditure issues have been a challenge in Kiambu, adding that it is time to hit the nail on the head.

He claimed that more money could have been lost in the county, suggesting that an audit should be carried out to ensure accountability.

Waititu is in trouble over alleged suspicious allocations and spending by his government amounting to Sh2 billion.

The Kiambu governor has defended himself against claims that taxpayers money has been lost instead accusing his political critics of plotting for his downfall.

A section of leaders, among them former Kiambu governor William Kabogo now want the Ethics and Anti-Corruptiom Commission (EACC), Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to probe Waititu and his government over the alleged questionable budget.

The Senate Public Accounts Committee has ordered for a special audit in Kiambu to unravel the truth about the alleged questionable expenditure.
