Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has said that the registration for Huduma Namba is an illegal scheme by the Jubilee regime to manipulate census, referendum and 2022 general elections.
He said that the government wants to use the registration to manipulate the people of Kenya to make it easy for its leadership.
The Self Proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader insisted that Kenyans should resist the process. He noted that the registration is ill-motivated and ill-timed.
“Uhuru Kenyatta and his Mafia designed and unleashed the illegal Huduma Namba registration as part of a SURVEILLANCE program to fortify tyranny and a sophisticated system of MANIPULATING and GERRYMANDERING census, referendum and 2022 election. #ResistHudumaNamba,” he tweeted on Saturday.
President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday extended the registration process. He noted that the high turnout called for the move. The head of State urged Kenyans to register before the deadline.
“Kenyans are determined to register for their Huduma Namba and I have obliged to the numerous requests to give them an opportunity to do so,” he said, as quoted by Standard.
The long queues at Huduma Namba registration points have reduced since the President announced the extension of the process. The registration process continues to elicit mixed reactions from different factions.
