Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has expressed his displeasure over a story carried by a local news outlet exposing bedroom matters about Meru Senator Mithika Linturi.
The article which was published by the Star but later pulled down indicated that the Meru Senator was "unable to rise to the occasion in the bedroom".
An angry Sonko took to his official Facebook page criticising the publisher for carrying such a damaging story about Linturi.
Sonko said such issues should not be published.
"This is nonsense of the highest order and totally unacceptable. The star is becoming a gutter press day by day. We shall not allow them to publish bedroom stories of other men with their wives," noted Sonko.
He further asked the Meru Senator to press charges on the publisher for ruining his reputation.
"Which journalist was present in their bedroom during that material night. Shenzi nyinyi. Linturi take them to court this is good money. And since your matrimonial residence is in Nairobi I shall be an amicus curiae in this case on probono. Musidharau wanaume to that extent hata tukizeeka (sic)," Sonko added.
Linturi together with his estranged wife, Mary Kitany have been embroiled in a bitter battle in the last few months.
