Students at Moi University were on Saturday treated to a special performance from some of the fastest rising comedians in the country during the Lets Vibe Show.
The show which was organized by Shankinic Arts in partnership with Family Health Options Kenya was aimed at not only entertaining the students but also creating awareness on sexual related health.
Some of the comedians who performed include; 1GB (online comedian), Sirkal (Churchill’s Ultimate comic finalist), Sniper (named as King of central comedy) just to mention a few.
The show also provided a platform for artists from the institution to showcase their talents.
“Our main objective is to provide a platform for youths to showcase talents while at the same time entertaining the students. The Lets Vibe is a campus tour that has begun from Moi University and it seeks to unite Kenyan Universities through art,” Austine Adhu, the chief event organizer noted.
On Friday evening, the event organizers distributed condoms to students while sensitizing them on the importance of using protection during sex.
“We are also advocating for responsible fun among the youths. This is to show that we can still have fun without violence or misbehaving,” Adhu added.
This comes only a few days after a final year Moi University student was stabbed to death at a club in the outskirts of the school.
