Raila, while addressing members of the public when he joined President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President Dr William Ruto among other leaders to inspect the various development projects at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, said he will not abandon the Head of State.

"I'm behind my brother Mr Kenyatta to ensure Kenyans are united after we buried the political hatchet. There are no plans that I will abandon him any time soon," he said.

Mr Raila challenged residents to forgive each other and move on.

"I and Mr Kenyatta we agreed to work as a team after we dropped our differences. Kisii and Nyamira residents who differed during the 2017 polls and are yet to forgive each other should follow our steps," said the ODM party leader.

The former Langata MP reiterated the need to fight corruption in this country.

"Corruption has been the reason development projects are stalling in this country. We must stand up as leaders and help President Kenyatta to fight this corruption," he added.
