Former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile has said that he will make a comeback in the upcoming 2022 general elections.
Ndile noted that he has not lost his ambition for leadership, adding that he still has a desire to serve Kenyans.
Speaking during an exclusive phone interview on Wednesday, the former lawmaker said that leadership is in his blood, adding that he has confidence he will be elected come 2022.
“I believe in myself and I also believe that God wants me to lead and hopefully in 2022 I will hold an elective post," he said.
The former legislator rubbished claims by his critics that he can never make it back to active politics.
“No one knows about tomorrow except God and those people saying that Ndile will never win an election again don’t know what they are saying,” he added.
Ndile said that he is now focusing on his job as a board member of the Tanathi Water Works Development Agency.
On his relationship with Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Ndile said that he has no personal issues with the former vice president.
“I respect Kalonzo as a national leader and also as the Kamba political leader and I often engage him on various discussions about our region,” he noted.
Ndile lost his bid for the Mavoko parliamentary seat in the 2013 and 2017 general election.
In 2017, he dissolved his TIP TIP Party to merge with Jubilee Party but has often complained of being sidelined in the ruling party.
The former legislator is likely to vie for the Mavoko parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2022 general election.
