Waititu further noted that the collectors and the dumping truck which are meant to facilitate easier collection and management of waste in the county were donated by Fukuoka University in Japan.

"The compactors, which are a donation by Fukuoka University in Japan will help address issues of uncollected waste in the County," Waititu added.

A compactor is a machine which is normally used to reduce the size of materials especially waste.

Waititu explained that the machine utilises a metal ram that crushes waste to manageable and small pieces, therefore, enhancing efficiency and improving sanitation.
