Addressing media in Nakuru on Thursday morning, members of the community said that in the pre-election agreement, it was agreed that the Luhya community supports Kinyanjui.

The community in return was to get two county minister positions among other executive posts.

Olkaria ward MCA Peter Palang’a who is also the Minority Leader in the county said Kinyanjui did not honour the agreement.

“On our side, we did what we had agreed upon and we are calling on him to go back to the agreement and see what we had agreed about because politicians are fond of forgetting,” said Palang’a.

Sentiments echoed by Nakuru county Luhya community youth leader Martin Lunalo.

“If we pay taxes like any other Nakuru residents then the county should also ensure that we are part of the administration through equal representation,” said Lunalo.
