Bomariba ward residents have pleaded with area MCA Protus Moindi to move with speed and address water shortage in the area.
Speaking at Riamagige area on Monday, the locals protested that water springs have dried up despite the region receiving rains.
"We have no water to drink, bath or use in cooking food because all water springs have gone dry. Some of the water springs the MCA repaired have blocked while others have gone dry. He has gone missing from the ward something that will force us to storm his office," said a local, Agnes Moraa.
Japhet Onsombi appealed to the MCA to move with speed to ensure the blocked water springs are unblocked for residents to continue accessing clean water.

"Women leave at 6 am for the river to fetch water only to return at 6 pm without water. The MCA needs to intervene by Monday next week before we go on a rampage," he said.
Enoch Mochache blamed the MCA over water shortage saying he allowed rogue contractors to repair the water springs in the ward.
"Mr Moindi should carry the blame because he issued the contracts to unqualified people who did shoddy work. All we want is to have the water from the water springs before Monday next week," he added.
