This was during the commemoration of his late father, Gideon Kioko Mbuvi Kivanguli's 3rd anniversary.

They included Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, and Makueni Senator. Mutula Kilonzo Junior among others.

Sonko said he held the 3-day free medical camp in honor of his late father.

He said several patients suffering from various chronic diseases were treated during the exercise.

"In Mzee Kivanguli’s honor, I’m still holding a free medical camp at Kathimani Primary School opposite my Mua Hills home. Since Thursday, hundreds of patients with chronic diseases have so far been treated and others with complicated diseases referred to hospitals for further medication," Sonko said.

The governor used the opportunity to thank officials in his government for supporting him in the quest to provide better services for the Nairobi residents.

Sonko, however, said he was not going to relocate his services back to Nairobi as requested by the MCAs.
