Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has once again leaked a phone conversation with a city businessman identified as Mark Maina.
In a video, the Governor can be head hurling insults at the businessman who he accuses of being behind the controversial demolitions at Nyama Villa, in Kayole.
According to the Governor, Maina had used fake documents to obtain a court order that permitted the destruction of multi-million apartments in Kayole.
"On this Kayole issue, why couldn't you approach me so that we can have an amicable way of resolving the matter without hurting innocent residents," the furious Governor is heard in the video speaking on phone.
He told the businessman that he was ready to face him in court, daring him to take him to court. He threatened to bring down Arck Hotel, believed to be one of the businessman's investments.
"I will demolish Arck Hotel so that you can also feel what the poor people have felt," held Sonko, accusing Maina of being corrupt and grabbing land.
He lashed out at Maina with all manner of insults, saying he'll demolish a Nairobi County Government public toilet which Maina had allegedly grabbed and converted into a store. According to the Governor, Maina had also encroached on land belonging to a City fire station.
