Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu now wants the 12th Parliament dissolved over claims of bribery.
The Governor said Kenyans should be allowed to elect other leaders after claims of bribery emerged in the House.
Speaking to journalists in Kiambu Town on Monday, Waititu said allegations that some MPs are taking bribes should not be taken lightly.
The Kiambu county boss said investigations should be carried out and those found to have taken bribes recalled.
He said Kenyans will not have trust in their lawmakers if action is not taken against those found culpable.
“Relevant investigative agencies should quickly probe the bribery claims at Parliament and if need be the lawmakers send packing and Kenyans given a chance to elect other leaders,” he said.
Waititu asked Kenyans to monitor the conduct of their elected leaders and push for their removal if they are misbehaving.
A section of MPs is on the spot over allegations that they accepted bribes to shoot down a report on contraband sugar.
There are claims that some of the lawmakers received Sh10, 000 bribes on Thursday last week to oppose the report.
Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi has since invited relevant agencies to probe the bribery allegations.
