The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party is yet to agree on how to approach the fake gold saga debate, it has emerged.
According to Kisumu Woman representative Rozah Buyu, the party has not decide on whether to spel or keep mum on the Sh400 million scandal where its leader Raila Odinga has been implicated.
She termed this the reason why the party is yet to give an official statement, and Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga's solo press conference on Sunday.
Wanga appeared all alone for a press conference in Kisumu, where she cleared Raila, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i of blame.
“We are aware that some leaders from Rift Valley were sent to drag the names of the president, Raila and Matiang’i into the fake gold scam,” she said.
Buyu on Monday said that hers was a solo decision, hence her lonely appearance.
"We are yet to decide on whether to address the issue or leave it entirely in the hands of the investigators. That's why we have remained silent. Wanga's decision to hold a presser was her personal decision hence the absence of fellow ODM leaders at the function," she said.
The leader was speaking on Radio Nam Lolwe, Monday morning.
