Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi has attacked Kenyans over inconsistency stating that it is the problem bedevilling the country and should be changed for the country to be redeemed.
Speaking on Tuesday during the morning day-break show hosted by Sam Gituku, Elachi noted that for the country to change, Kenyans have to be 'righteous and firm' in whatever they say.
"All Kenyans have a problem. We are never consistent with what we say and that is what we should change. Our leaders, who are our image will change if Kenyans change," she said.
She noted that the leaders in the country do what Kenyans want to hear and see hence swaying the public on the wrong whenever they are implicated on immoral activities in the society.
She pleaded with Kenyans to change in order for leaders to change and do what is for the common good of the public.
She added that Kenyans are used to changing their stands on matters involving people from their localities especially when confronted with the corruption cases or other crimes.
The former Senate Chief Whip further reiterated that Kenyans should change tact and condemn evil deeds without Political, religious or community inclinations since the country suffers if Kenyans continue to raise shoulders supporting their own.
