Wiper party has opened a new branch in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The new UK branch is part of Wiper's plan to spread its wings globally.
Speaking during the launch on Sunday, Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka said they are in talks with the UK national party to enable Kenyan youths to visit Britain for training and placement opportunities.
Kalonzo noted that UK Chapter will enable supporters in the diaspora a right to participate in party affairs.
Patrick Kiilu was elected as the interim chair. Kiilu said they have lined up initiatives aimed at changing the culture of impunity and corruption in Kenya.
"Kenya is at crossroads and requires the participation of all of us to curb the runaway corruption and to bring down spiraling national debt. The youth will receive the first-hand experience on running an issue-based campaign in Kenya as opposed to politics of 'stomach and ethnicity' prevalent in Kenya," said Kalonzo.
Kalonzo further reiterated that he supports the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga.
Since the handshake, Kalonzo has not been active in the political scene. Many pundits have argued that the former Vice President might be calculating his political moves.
