Khalwale who was speaking in Kakamega County's Malava constituency on Saturday said that there is a likelihood that leaders from the vote-rich Western will collaborate with either Rift Valley or Nyanza or both.

He said the Rift Valley and Nyanza would offer the best collaboration because they are near the former Western Province.

"I want to give you advise. Good, advise. That when you make friends, start with your neighbour," he said.

"And our nearest neighbours are two, those who come from Nyanza led by Raila Odinga and those who come from the hill (Rift Valley) led by William Ruto. Those are our two neighbours."

He said that partnership has the potential to produce a president.

He, however, cautioned members of the Luhya community to stay away from Raila who he said has no good agenda for the country.

"I just want to beg one thing that you should be careful about," he said.

"Be careful that Hon Raila Odinga does not have the agenda of Kenyans at heart and he is a political thug who should not be given the opportunity to become the President of the Republic of Kenya."
