Kisumu All Stars has hired a new head Coach, a few days after being promoted to the Kenya Premier League (KPL) for the 2019/2020 season.
The new Coach is former AFC Leopards and Western Stima tactician Henry Omino. According to Kisumu All Stars Team Manager (TM) Alfred Adu, the veteran Coach has been handed a six-month contract.
“Yes we have hired Omino for a six-month-renewable contract. His contract will be renewed if he registers good results for those six months,” Adu said in an e interview on Monday.
Former Kenyan international Francis Oduor was the man that steered All Stars ship towards KPL promotion.
The former AFC Leopards player was handed the reins after All Stars first season in the second tier National Super League (NSL), shortly after former Coach Nickanor Aketch lef the club.
TM Alfred Adu said that Oduor and his team will be part of the All Stars technical bench to be led by Omino.
Omino is an experienced Coach with premier league pedigree. The team, famously known as Blue Eagles was promoted to KPL after finishing second in NSL behind Champions Wazito.
All Stars will open 2019/2020 KPL season campaign with a game against Ulinzi Stars at the Moi stadium on August 31.
