A man in Bondo, Siaya County has committed suicide by hanging himself after his wife made a U-turn and decided to leave him.
The 24-year old man who has since been identified as Fredrick Olango was found hanging inside his house after the wife reportedly left to reunite with her former lover.
The body was discovered inside his rental house at Sinapanga ‘B’ village, Nyawita Sub location, reports the Citizen Digital.
Confirming the incident, Bondo township Location chief Walter Ochieng’ noted that the deceased operated a video hall in Bondo town, adding that the man resorted to the same after his attempts to have his wife back failed.
In an interview with Radio Ramogi on Monday, the Chief said that the late Olang’o had initialy tried to plead with his wife to come back to their matrimonial home, but she refused.
He advised residents to instead seek guidance and counseling when facing such challenges instead of taking such actions.
The body of the deceased has since been moved to the Bondo Sub-county hospital mortuary awaiting burial.
