Former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero is slowly returning to the political arena after meeting five opposition MPs in Kibra constituency on Friday.
The former Mumias Sugar Managing Director landed in Kibra to attend an event convened by Kibra MP Ken Okoth during the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of facilities at Kibra High School.
The leaders were also handing over a school bus to Kibra Primary School.
Those Kidero met included area MP Ken Okoth, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, Alego Usonga MP Samuel Atandi and Suba North MP Mille Odhiambo.
The event had also been convened to help secure sanitary pads for girls in Kibra constituency's primary school girls.
"At Kibra Primary School with area MP Okoth Kenneth for handover of a bus to the institution and ground breaking for construction of facilities for Kibra High School," Sifuna tweeted on Friday ahead of the event.
Kibra is among Nairobi's desily populated constituencies but majority of the resisdnets in the area come from humble backgrounds.
Kidero made his last public appearance on August 9t when he was arrested in connection to the misappropriation of Sh8 billion at City Hall when he served as governor between 2013 and 2017.
