Kirinyanga Woman Representative Wangui wa Ngiici has dismissed reports that all is not well in the ruling Jubilee party.
The vocal Jubilee legislator has further insisted that Deputy President William Ruto is the automatic successor of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Addressing the press in Eldoret town on Friday, Ngirici said the Jubilee government was focusing on delivering its promises to Kenyans through the Big Four Agenda.
“We’ve no problem in Jubilee. We are one house and know what we are doing. We know who our leader is and who will be next,” said the vocal legislator.
“As Jubilee party, we agreed in 2013 that President Kenyatta will serve for 10 years then next will be William Ruto. Nobody has changed that and it will be implemented as agreed,” she added.
The Kirinyaga Woman Rep. further told off a section of Kikuyu elders who allegedly called for the Deputy President William Ruto to retire with President Kenyatta.
“I don’t think those elders belong to Jubilee. We are the leaders of our people who we meet on a regular basis and all are in agreement that after President Kenyatta, next is DP Ruto. Anyone speaking contrary to that is an enemy of our party,” insisted Ngirici who was in Eldoret town during the launch of an initiative that will see school girls from across the country get sanitary pads through the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF).
