The self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader said that the dead do not need to wake to ascertain that they died of hunger.

He noted that the CS has not done enough to ensure Kenyans benefit from devolution. He also said that President Uhuru Kenyatta-led government has failed Kenyans in different ways including food shortage.‘

'Despotic goons like Wamalwa want the dead to be resurrected so that the dead can verify having died from hunger and starvation when we can all see the emaciated bodies?” tweeted Miguna on Wednesday.

Speaking during an interview with NTV when he visited Turkana County, Wamalwa said that the government can confirm any deaths caused by hunger.

“There are no confirmed deaths yet. What we have are just unverified reports,” Wamalwa said, as quoted by Citizen TV.

The CS faced fierce criticisms from different factions after photos showing the pathetic state of affairs in Turkana, Baringo and other counties hit by hunger surfaced online.

Deputy President William Ruto has also said that no one can be confirmed to have died from hunger.
